We’re in Battle Creek,MI for the balloon competition. Last night we launched from the airport and landed in a park much to the delight of the neighborhood! We ended up with some very helpful crew! Maggie was delighted to be a part of the excitement! Thanks to all those who helped!

We flew again this morning in Battle Creek. This was the first competitive flight. I forgot to take my phone with me so no inflight pictures. It was a busy morning with four tasks. We covered a lot of territory. We had wonderful landowners with four generations at the landing! Reid took the pictures of me at take off. Thanks to all who helped including Miss Maggie!

Every year Ryan’s with us at Battle Creek we visit the Lux cafe and he tries to eat the Chunky Monkey for breakfast. A concoction of 4 pieces of French toast, peanut butter, bananas, strawberry, chocolate sauce and whip cream. He’s never been able to finish it! Nor, have any other crew who challenged him! Today, Mathew destroyed him!!! Mathew earned his “radio” name! Chunky Monkey!
