A passion passed from one pilot to another

Buzzard's Glory began when Peter O. Stamats took his first balloon ride in 1974 and decided he wanted to share that experience with others.

Peter bought a balloon, learned to fly, earned his license, and became a familiar sight over Cedar Rapids. He later taught Susan to fly, and the two often flew together.

After Peter passed away in 2003, Susan continued the passion, experience, and tradition they had built together.
