Event: Natchez Balloon Festival
Recap of Natchez, MS! Great balloon event starting with both Chris and I glowing our balloons at “ Alive at Five” on Thursday night! Friday morning we had fog. Friday night wind. Saturday morning we launched in Natchez and flew across the Mississippi and landed in Vidalia, LA. Chris had a lot of “firsts” with the flight including first time flying in Mississippi, first time piloting a balloon while crossing state lines and first time flying over the Mississippi and first time beating his instructor. In the past, my sponsor, Ginger Schwager, has had her son-in-law and grandson go for a ride and much to my delight she finally agreed to fly with me this year! No flight Saturday night, calm winds and winds from difficult direction. Sunday morning flight cancelled do to fog. Great Friday night party including fireworks. Our Iowa and Texas crew were the best! Maggie, oh sweet Maggie had so much attention. Now, more spoiled than ever!
